Ingram Micro UK Wins Cisco EMEA and UK&I Distributor of the Year Awards

Ingram Micro UK, a division of Ingram Micro Inc., the largest global technology and supply chain services provider, has been named Cisco EMEA and UK&I Distributor of the Year for 2016.

Country Chief Executive, Matt Sanderson, was presented with the two awards at the Cisco Partner Summit, held last week in San Francisco, after the business triumphed over 80 competing distributors across EMEA.

Julian Thompson, Senior Director, Advanced Solutions commented: “These awards are testament of Ingram Micro UK’s commitment to developing business with existing Cisco partners and onboarding new customers”.

Moving in line with Cisco’s expectations, Ingram Micro UK was the fastest growing UK distributor in the 2T DAP space in Cisco FY16 and displays no sign of slowing down, delivering significant double digit growth in the key SMB reseller market.

Daniel Maynard, General Manager for Cisco, was clear on the reasons for the awards: “To enable our growth in our Cisco business, we have significantly invested in both evolving and expanding our existing Cisco team. As a result, Ingram Micro UK now has a fully integrated sales specialist and order management team, working to deliver a high quality customer experience, combined with a business development team focused on enabling growth in the SMB partner space”.

Cisco’s Philip Wright, Senior Director, EMEAR Distribution, highlighted that Ingram Micro UK’s value-added services differentiated the business from competitors, to secure the Cisco EMEA and UK&I Distributor of the Year awards. He commented: “So far in 2016, Ingram Micro UK has uncovered over $5 million worth of new end-user opportunities with partners through use of its internal marketing agency, implemented ground-breaking data-driven programmes, tools and services using cutting-edge business intelligence and analytics, and launched its innovative CHIP initiative, focused on driving IoT solutions into key vertical markets.

“The business has also become the first UK distributor to offer a full service wrap to partners, through its acquisitions of Anovo, CloudBlue, and most recently, leading channel network & server support solutions provider, Comms-care.”
